Build a School Team of 2-10 parents who work with a liaison to inform parents and the community, and mobilize parents to action.
Establish regional networks with other parent liaisons in area schools.
Inform school parents (and principals) via meetings, newsletters, Home-School organizations, letters or phone tree.
Inform legislators of your opinion.
Inform the community through local media (radio talk shows, newspapers, parish bulletins).
Inform the Federation of major school issues in your school/community.
Each “School Team”:
Contacts local, state or federal legislators or the media.
Contacts other parents through a phone tree or email blast.
Attends hearings, meetings or rallies.
Gets other parents to do the same.
