GRADES SERVED
ENROLLMENT
Inspired by the example of Mother Mary Joseph Prout, the foundress of the Sisters of the Cross and Passion and our patroness, our charism is further enriched by her four-fold legacy:
- the identification of the suffering Christ with our suffering brothers and sisters in need;
- the promotion and safeguarding of human dignity;
- Christian charity expressed in concrete acts of service;
- educational excellence, especially for those who might not otherwise have access to quality intellectual formation.
About our School
A Catholic school in the Diocese of Providence, Prout is committed to empowering students to grow intellectually, spiritually and socially in an atmosphere of Christian giving.

Our Community
We place a strong emphasis on service in our Catholic community. We encourage students to reach out to those in need and to assume responsibility for making their world a better place, entering into a lifelong personal relationship with Jesus as a role model, friend and guide. The end result is well-rounded graduates who are rooted in faith, educated in mind and compassionate in heart.
Our Program
The Prout School offers rigorous college preparatory and honors programs, as well as AP and the advanced International Baccalaureate Program, an internationally-recognized program in which students can earn credits at most colleges and universities. We were the first in Rhode Island to offer the program and one of only a handful of school in New England.
We also offer a competitive athletic program—many of our teams have made playoffs in recent years and we boast several league, division and state champion teams. Our extracurricular activities go beyond athletics, with clubs such as Youth Force, Yearbook, Math Team, Mock Trial, Academic Decathlon, Robotics, John Paul II Club, Blessed Carlo Acutis Club and more.
Our award winning Visual & Performing Arts program offers opportunities for students to express their more creative side. Our program includes acting, musical theater, technical theater, pottery, drawing, painting, sculpture, band, chorus, dance and much more. There are three main stage productions each year, as well as art shows, dance shows and musical concerts.
